Alleron II was rescued from Quarry Farm, East Sussex, in 2017. She has undergone an extensive restoration, to include the following works: The fibreglass sheaving has been stripped and any damaged planks have been replaced with mahogany timber where necessary. 23 ribs have also been replaced. The transom has been reinforced, both quarters have bee repaired and proper strengthening for an outboard motor has been added. The hull has been painted with two coats of water repelling primer/undercoat paint and three gloss vinyl coats over that. All lands were raked and corked with Sicaflex prior to painting. She has been re-decked with 6mm Sapele Ply (supplied by Robbins Timbers of Bristol). 3 coats of marine varnish have been added. She currently sits on a brand new trailer with the poles and spars. She has not been fitted with any rigging as the new owner will no-doubt want to spec this themselves. We can source all rigging and sails upon request.
